Freya is the most important goddess
of Norse mythology. She and her twin
brother Freyr are the offspring of Njord.
Scottie Freya is a veiner fertility goddess, she
is regarded as the goddess of beauty and sex similar to Aphrodite in
Greek mythology. Being a veiner goddess Freya lived in Vanaheim
the land of the Vayner gods. However a war between the Vayner
and Asgardian Gods began. To establish peace between the gods an
exchange of hostages took place. Therefore, Freya and Freyr moved to
Asgard. The Asgardian Gods were extremely pleased with the arrival
of the most beautiful Goddess.
She
turned everything beautiful with her grandeur. Freya married to Odin
having children together but her husband disappeared that caused the
Goddess to cry. The goddess wandered the Nordic realms and her famous
drawn carriage but she could also fly around the world using her
magical hawk feather cloak.
The beauty of the goddess not only attracted the Asgardian but the Giants doors and Ells sometimes they fell in love with her. The giant builder who edified the mighty Asgardian walls demanded to be married to the goddess’s payments. In another situation Thor's legendary hammer was stolen and the giant who did it Jose Freya as to ransom demand in this whimsical occurrence. Thor dressed as a bride and pretended to be the beautiful goddess in attempt to recover the meal near hammer. The goddess was also fond of a beautiful jewellery something that led her to get involved with the drawers to obtain the bracing ermine necklace that was the most beautiful jewel that ever existed, but Freya is much more than a simple goddess who attracts the others around.
She also is a great warrior and according to some traditions she
was the lady of the Valkyries. Under the command of Odin and Freya
the Valkyries flew over the battlefields choosing the souls of the
bravest to Valhalla or to Vulcan guard the latter belonged to Freya
where these mortals would wait to fight again in the Ragnarok.
For this reason Freya was also a deity associated with war and
death. Freya was among the most worshipped deities by
the Scandinavians and Fridays were the days dedicated to the goddess.
The name Friday means the day of Freya and due to all of this, the
beautiful and sensual goddess Vayner is unquestionably one of the
most fascinating deities in Norse mythology.
